Carole Coley has been elected president of the Redlands Area Democratic Club to fill out the term of Pat Meagher, who resigned to focus on his Congressional campaign.

Carole is director of operations for the Institute for Democratic Renewal, Department of Politics and Economics, at Claremont Graduate University where her primary duties include preparing and managing the Institute’s budget and grant writing for its anti-racism initiatives.

Carole and her husband, John, joined the club a year ago. They are very active in the Redlands Morning Kiwanis Club.

Carole volunteered to serve as club secretary when that position came open last fall.

Marie Jones has been elected as treasurer, replacing Bob Wood.

Don Singer is running for Community College school board

Don Singer is running for re-election to the Board of Trustees of the San Bernardino Community College District. Don was first elected in 2001 and again in 2005. Don served as president of the two colleges in the District --Crafton Hills and San Bernardino Valley. Don has been an active Democrat for many years working for candidates from George Brown to Barack Obama.

Pat recently retired from his career in education, most recently as a principal at the Fontana Adult School.

He is actively building a group of volunteers. and has opened a campaign office in Mentone.
